The Reservoir Level, 23rd September/4th October 2018

The water Level on 4th October is similar/just lower than the photos below taken on 23rd September.

On 16th September there was quite a substantial area of island visible. Just one week later only a small island was visible and only just at that. The water level had risen 0.7metres or more due to rain of about 70mm. It's about 4 metres below full. Perhaps we should wish for plenty more wet and windy weather ... or could that be a bit grim?!

The photos were taken on a mobile phone, mostly from distance, so the quality is a bit poor but still gives a useful idea. You'll note that we have a very large sailable area, but do please be careful your fin doesn't ground! Southerly winds will be blocked by the dam for a while too.

Ha . You're right , its the exact opposite of a problem. I'm all geared up and raring to go, just need some wind.

Ralph - 14/06/2019 - 18:55

So why is that a problem ... ?

davemonks - 14/06/2019 - 16:56

That sounds just like my wife

Boardwise ended up being the answer to my fin problem. Went down and picked it up. Only problem was I ended up coming back with a new sail , mast and boom too.
